The horseshoeing flaws are quite evident in the Hunter mare pictured above. Note the erratic nailing pattern, this poor quality workmanship is an insult to the horse and it's human. and an obvious sign of incompetence,
Above, a Warmblood in obvious need of attention. Some of the "bigger hooved" horses are prone to cracking, but what you see here was just a bit too much. Jay was able to remove the cracking in just one shoeing.
...just another example of poor farriery, what you can't see in the picture is the heels of the shoes are fit so poorly that they are riding inside the horses heel causing extreme discomfort for this dressage horse. What you CAN see is excessive nailing, leaving these hoovesf open for a bacteria/fungus infection...
